Wearing this one today after replacing the incorrect and badly bent main hands, fitted by the previous owner
Previous hands were bent, poorly fitted and not the correct type 馃檨
Common mistake, the hour hand hasn't been pressed enough down so the minute and chrono second hand are sticking and touching each other, the only way to correct it is either to bend the hands but its easier to refit the hands again and make sure it's even play between all of them . It's quite normal to bend the chrono second hand to avoid it from touching the crystal, very nice watch by the way 馃榾
You are exactly correct, the hour hand wasnt fitted flat, causing issues when fitting the other 2 hands. The hour and minute hands are pretty easy to fit so I'm not sure why the person who fitted them previously didnt take a bit more care to get them right.
Unfortunately I dont have a set of hands to match the patina of the dial but at least now they are the correct type.....it just needs a service now 馃榿
First day on the town for this one. The lume is actually very dark and the minute hand has a clear orange colour - pics are not true to it. There was a little bit of sun today here in Stockholm and my camera was just not up for it. First sun since at least 14 days...
I usually wear them for a few days, maybe a week....
The last few days it was the '28 Hamilton 922
Tomorrow its Connie time!
The problem with swapping back and forth between pocket and wrist watches is never knowing where to look for the time!
white gold filled face with yellow gold numerals
the engraving on the back is really nice, but ten bucks says its to cover up a botched initial job.....
23 jewels, huge gold chatons to mount them, gold train, motor barrel, adjusted to 5 positions, white gold washed plates...... Mmmmmmmm..... its like new under the hood, for something that's been around for a bit!
