Stopped by the OB. This one just arrived via UPS. At $10,600 retail, a little rich for me, but it is a beauty.

Next to my Gemini 4.

Pigs it was.

Went deer hunting for most of this week. I sat with my "huntin' cousin" the first evening and watched 19 deer on a field just outside of his hunting cabin, but didn't pull the trigger. We had a big time talking about past glories and watching the deer antics while I took crummy telephoto photographs. He's five days younger than I am and we grew up together. Never really saw the deer again due to weather changes and the arrival of a number of feral hogs. So, pigs it was. I just finished preparing a large sow for the freezer today.

This Glycine watch and this "Pre-64" Winchester Model 70 rifle have been part of hunting experiences for me for many years. Winchester collectors appreciate"Pre-64" Winchesters. The rifle dates to 1953 and I'm guessing the watch's age falls near the same time period.

If I hadn't read your post, I would've thought your Dad was a bear hunter!😁
