This is a cheat... sort of. Yes, I am wearing this today, but this shot was taken April 26 2011, the day I bought this watch new from an AD. (I've got the box and papers somewhere in storage, but can't find them, and it's been killing me lately because I've been wracking my brain trying to remember just when the heck I bought this watch.)
I was sitting in the car, just outside the AD's store when I took this shot. The bracelet, which I've taken off in favor of a strap, is still in good condition, but sure doesn't look creamy like this, that much I know!
I freaking adore this watch. Today, this watch that has never been serviced, that's been dropped on tile, still only gains not more than 3 seconds a month. Anyway, just got so happy when I found the photo on my hard drive that I had to share! 馃榾
Late afternoon change. My late uncle's 1972 Citizen 63-1230 just back from a service.
Not bad for a watch that spent the first half of its life in the Papua New Guinea highlands.
The first watch that started this madness.........bought 3 years ago virtually to the day and worn today to celebrate!
It had been languishing in a drawer for years I believe and I was so paranoid about keeping it all original I would't let my watchmaker polish anything even though he wanted to touch up some marks on the lugs, I even told him to leave the original crystal on even though there was a 'dink' on it馃え. It does have a BOR with it, but I much prefer the feel of leather against my skin馃槈
