very nice watch.
Two weeks ago I saw at a watch fair a Zenith with the same SS case and a grey dial (!) signed with the Zenith star ,the words Zenith automatic under the 12 and the word Captain at six.
The original Zenith movement was signed with the jewel count and the word chronometer on the rotor.
I never saw such a Zenith dial before!
Was it a fake?

There's a lot of truth to that. Some of my favorite models are the anniversary editions. Longines' had a couple models called the Anniversary, one of which is automatic (Anniversary A) that I own, another manual wind that LouS has a primo example that I've been trying to con him out of for over a year. Norm has another automatic version of it that's friggin' MINT. I've got a beater of it and have been dropping not so subtle hints to him that I want to buy his too. Watch - I'll be flat broke when both of them decide to sell.
