An early to mid-60's Wittnauer. I like the dial with the crosshair and the recessed banded minute track. Nice light speckle patina. I bought this for a 'work' watch, spent way more on the service to get it usable than for the piece itself.

Friday! Wearing a personal favorite, the Mark IV.
When I first started down the cal. 1040 rabbit hole, I wondered if I'd ever own a Mark IV, because I found it to be the least interesting of the bunch. Funny how perspectives can change. Once I discovered the service dials with the partially blue day/night indicator I had to have one, and now that I have it I'm quite charmed. 🥰 HAGWE everyone

Today, it's a piece originally commissioned in in the late 70's for the Siberian military: the Bomega Polmylka 700-s. It boasts wind resistance up to 25meters-per-second and a power reserve of 19 hours. I wear it on two variations of what is known as the weeds of rice band, which is highly nitrogen resistant and absorbs UV radiation in the ultraviolet spectrum.

On the topic of April Fools watches, my "sdrawkcab" running mechanical watch (I have shown before). It actually DOES run sdrawkcab. Done at a time when I had too much time on my hands, and I needed a challenge!

....happy April Fool's everyone!

This one doesn't see daylight very often, but it does seem to love flowering plants, so I thought I'd bring it out for some pollen...😀

This one's from the 17,000,xxx series of 2000 consecutive chronometer movements that received especially high results during testing in Bienne.
