Yes it's Speedy Tuesday, but today I wear this watch to commemorate what happened last evening, which was truly monumental for space flight. Returning a large rocket booster from an orbital launch, back to the ground for future re-use would have been considered pure fantasy just a few years ago. As I watched the launch and booster return coverage last night I have to confess that I became rather misty-eyed at the sight of all those bright, 20- to 30- year olds sitting in the control room at SpaceX's headquarters here in Los Angeles. I suddenly felt tremendous hope for the future of our species, which is such a contrast to how I often feel when I witness the utter stupidity acted out in the contemporary political arena. Congratulations to Elon Musk and all his brilliant kids at SpaceX.
Happy Speedy Tuesday! This watch makes me long for my '71 fiat spider 124. I like manual things with gears...
Woo hoo! Another Aqua Terra bi-colour! Yours is the first I've seen on this forum other than my own edit: although on second glance it may not be bi-colour, but rather all rose gold. In any case it's a stunner.
Sorry not an Omega, not fancy, picked up for less than the price of lunch, and it is what I am wearing. I really have no idea if it ever was really "Railroad Approved" but I liked it so I bought it.
It is not a Speedy but is my very first Omega. Bought in 1987, almost destroyed in many places around the world (including Antartica) but always surviving. Two years ago rebuilt... I Love it.
