    You may or may not know. 5512 dials from around the 1.7million serial
    are of a unique tritium mix. They actually will still glow briefly when charged
    by UV. They also do not decay and turn brown. You can't see from my
    lousy pic, but their telltale characteristic is a puffy appearance.

    That's really interesting - thanks for letting me know.
    Mine is a 1.7 mil or thereabouts (can't remember exactly) from 1968 and its really creamy.
    I've heard that they age differently depending on how they've been kept - I don't think mine was worn much.
    Every day is a day at school :)
