Muffin tops. I didn’t know there was such a thing. My wife said “they are the cream of the muffin” and insisted I cook them. Hard to argue with that logic.
Two favourites today. On my wrist is my Omega F300 tuning fork model Omega, about 55 years old. And in my watch pocket, my Hamilton grade 952, 16-size, 19-jewel pocket watch, a version of the venerable Hamilton 950. Circa 1909, so circa 115 years old. This one is equipped with a going barrel (see the jewelled bearing middle of the ratchet wheel). I bought this one about 40 years ago while the grade 952 still didn’t show up on radar. It has since been recognized as a model with fairly low production compared to many other railroad grade Hamiltons. Original case, hinged bezel, case back, and cuvette might not have passed the strictest time service rules, but the movement sure did. There were three versions of this grade, this one being the earliest. And oh yes! On one of my @DaveK lanyards.

Does your F300 have a discernible hum? I suspect one/more of the coils in mine must be going. I don't know anything about quartz watches but when I put a fresh battery in the one I could open, it works but up close you can hear it humming.
