I’m a collector of vintage Omega, but this one was an exception.
Gorgeous. The 2nd gen black is seriously growing on me more and more.

Bad day ends on a positive note. My mom broke her hip and she is in bad shape from another illness. I guess I should say fracture. I had to decide between palliative care or surgery. If that fracture spreads she would need a hip replacement which she probably couldn’t tolerate so I went with the surgery. It was a success and she tolerated being put under which was a big concern. I just realized this is the first surgery she had in her life. Like ever. That to me is amazing I already had two by the time I was 11. So here is to mother walrus a speedy recovery and my best to everyone out there dealing with ill loved ones, it really is a bitch. I wish I could take the fracture rather than her cause somehow I always bounce back from these things.

Again, and again. My new to me 60-year old Bulova Accutron 214 is running within 5-seconds (+) per week. Not bad, I’d say, thanx to member @Laneside of Scotland.

Wishing your mother a full recovery. Sounds like she raised a good son.

One of the joys of collecting vintage watches is that you sometimes get to know the watches history from the family selling it.

This one came from a respected Teacher in another city and was reluctantly sold by the surviving spouse who had to relocate to my city where her son arranged its sale. The original owner was a fastidious man who liked all his possessions well maintained and looked after.

This one when seen in its watchbox surrounded by other Roamer 44's strikingly stands out as green gold amongst all its yellow and red gold compatriots.

Revue , before it was Revue Thommen, had their own movement factory MSR and made some very nice watches for it 😀 . Sub branded Cerberus for the Australian - Asian market.
