My parents bought me this same model Seiko when I graduated from high school. It was a real stretch on their budget. Unfortunately, it was stolen from my home many, many years ago. One day I will buy one as they come up on eBay. Thanks for the sharing your watch.

Apologies at the outset for the picture heavy post of the new Helsinki library, which won the world library award in 2018.

It’s designed like a ship with a sharp bow,

… and leading to the shaped stern

Inside, the library floor slopes up to a raised forecastle…

… and a raised poopdeck at the stern..

The locals compare the deckchairs on the outside to the Titanic

… and suggest that the glass building towards which the library is heading is probably the iceberg

Oh, and a watch … 😀

Leaving Dallas yesterday heading east

I can recognize that photo! I can see the Trinity River in the foreground Also can tell by the smell.

Brought back memories this obscure "gem" from the local radio stations here around 1980. At the time there was some wild talk about navigational development of the Trinity River. The tune's most fun if this is your home.

I’m on one of the worst streets in the city. I can get police escort if needed when on duty. Now I walk down this road giving dapp or saying hi to 80% of the people. Life is funny.

Over the past year I've had a surprising number of magnetization incidences. But not with this one (nor with its Master Chronometer siblings), which I appreciate more than ever 😀
