Went to the ER on Tuesday for a new, but apparently common, even expected, symptom. Anyway, I got home this afternoon. Got the text this was ready at the watchmaker a few minutes before I left. Stopped by and picked it up on the way home.

Looks good, seems to be running well. Time will tell. This is a new-stock SM300 that I bought parts for from Ofrei in 2013 or 2014 with a 1171/1/633 and a movement I got off of eBay. Either my wrist is bigger or I don't remember but I had to move it all the way to the last microadjust clasp hole. I'm going to have to get a link for the 1171/1. Should've asked the watchmaker if he had one. Gotta imagine some people don't take them with them and many people have smaller wrists than I. I'll take my 2254.50 to him next.

Back to the Seamaster, I think the Geneve runs better, but I always miss my Seamaster when I wear anything else.

One of two for a lazy Saturday. This one is my 60-year old one owner (me) Bulova Accutron 214. This watch has a duplicate of the original dial, it is on its third circuit assembly, its third index wheel, and several cleanings. A lot of watches that have required this much work over 60 years end up scrapped. But this one has been on my wrist for a lot of the important events in my life, and it just might be my favourite watch. A gift from my late father.
