ghce; don't you dare make me hunt up a Roamer example! It'll be your fault if I acquire one.

That Stingray looks nice.

They are getting harder to find but one of the pluses is that the monobloc case is hard to get into limiting the amount of damage that the unqualified normally carry out on easy to open watches.
The later Roamers went away from the water proof case and the quality was by that stage much less than these and earlier ones with Roamer trying to compete in the quartz crisis.

Have bought 3 of the later Roamer Vanguard 316 watches ( MST471 movement ) in the last couple of months and the drop in quality is very apparent, won't be buying anymore of them except as movement spares for the better quality Stingrays and Mustangs.

This Stingray generation I think is the best with its classic looks and monobloc case construction, with the PM marked in the dial track dates to an early 44 jewel production, ie the first of the Stingrays with the highest quality construction.

Inspired to wear one of Opa’s watches as I realized yesterday was his birthday. First one he’s not around for. He’s the reason I got so deep into mechanical watches.

Tried the Seamaster 300 heritage today and liked it a lot (despite the terrible light)...

Anyway happy weekend everyone
