My wife’s company gave us tickets to Chicago and supertramp when they were playing in our area. It was just prior Covid and tbh I wasn’t that thrilled about going as far I just wasn’t expecting much. Both bands put on a great show and my wife was amazed as she didn’t grow up going to concerts. It was a good night glad I didn’t sabotage it as I was kinda a supertramp disliker but I was converted that night.
This song is one of my happy places. Levon banging out such a massive drum line and singing like this. Damn
I was watching financial news and they were saying making 100k a year in NYC is equivalent to making 36k in most of the country. But 100k a year in Tennessee is equivalent to 86k. One thing came to my mind.

I gotta ask do you have the Beatles Butcher Block? I’m not into vinyl but of course appreciate it. I had a chance to buy an unpeeled butcher block Beatles album years back still regret passing on it
I don’t have a copy of Yesterday and Today but I’m familiar with the album though it was never released in the Uk , it was a United States & Canada only release back in June 66 , the original album cover known as the butcher cover caused some controversy on it’s initial release & was immediately recalled by Capitol records but some initial copies were sold on the day of release . Most copies recalled were then repasted with the trunk cover and sold , if anyone has a copy of the original with butcher cover it is very collectible .
The Stones back in the day when Jagger was trying to convince people he was a working class cockney. They were influenced by black American blues singers and you can tell.
Tony Blackburn is presently playing this on his show sounds of the 60's. Old Tony is about 150 years old but plays some cracking Northern Soul, Soul, Ska and Motown.
