I thought this was really cool
I think that is way cool. I often find myself saying who the “best bass player” or drummer is. But then you walk into a seedy club or street performance and you contemplate. How many “bests” just were never seen or had the right connection. I’ve played instruments since I was around 12, mind you I never excelled or made large money playing I am just saying I know enough that I can see when people are performing at another level (I am not in that bunch) but I’ve seen some amazing players who certainly had the ability to play with the best of them, they just had day jobs.

Couldn't agree more! There are people out there more talented than all the biggest names in anything. They'll just never be found. Yet, in a strange way, I find that to be a beautiful thing. Makes the sharing of such talent all the more special to those fortunate enough to be witness to it.
