I was listening to an interview with a gentleman who operates a “world peace anti war” think tank. He was discussing Russian army tactics and reasons behind them. I got kind of bummed out went on YouTube looking for this song. Couldn’t find it. Copyright or something I guess. Found it now elsewhere feeling better

Two more sleeps until we see Sparks live here in Vancouver. If you’ve not seen the documentary, the Sparks Brothers, do yourself a huge favour and watch it. So good.

Korn. Giant Center. Hershey PA. USA. Ear bleeding, can't hear tomorrow, double muff headset doesn’t help loud. Nice crew...they tried. No winners only survivors. Art for money.
Have fun. Practice safe sound.

Oh I was happy to find this. When I was 16 years old and got my license one of my first “long drives” was a trip to a blues festival in upstate NY. It was decent crowd but certainly not packed. I was able to walk feet from the elevated stage and scope out the instruments. A very spiffy dressed guy was ground level on the side of the stage also taking in the view. I said something like “it’s cool to get so close check out the set up” he agreed shook my hand and we talked about the blues for a couple minutes before parting. An hour or so later the dude I was talking to opened with this song. I didn’t know Taj Mahal at the time it was my introduction to his music. My friends didn’t believe i talked to him. (It’s not like we are best buddies to me it was a couple minute conversation with a fellow blues fan) but it was just one of those cool minutes you don’t forget. I bought the CD on the way home and have loved his music ever since.

A classic lost album whose first track seems depressingly appropriate to the times.
