The Stones . I was only a small child when the 60s ended ,but Dad liked the Beatles & Mum liked the Stones so we grew up listening to both like it or not . And I like them both then & now ,

RIP Steve Bronski.
Two killer tunes / soundtracks of the early eighties, which have stood the test of time.
Irrespective of your sexuality, a driving electronic beat and antiestablishment angry youthful energy highlighting the hypocrisy of the powers and showing real soul and singing talent.
Sadly since the sixties we have learnt that music changes nothing and like in car design a homogeneous blanket of conformity is perhaps slowly descending, but it can still inspire and drive us to better things and a higher plane.

THANKS GUYS! broke 5000 posts!

I would say these guys are also worth a listen. They drive the sixties cars and live the life... 100%.into what they do and bookable in the UK. They have been on the road for many years as a jobbing band. They also tend to set fire to the bass if the fire systems won’t go off...what music should be about/ some grass roots.

A TV show about an imaginary band.... which became one of the best record selling bands of all times.... days when talent and integrity could still shine through the corporate BS.

‘Hey, Santa…pass us that bottle, will ya?’

A great holiday choice from a terrific record. So many deep cuts. Dr Bogenbroom comes to mind. I consider myself lucky to have the hard cover picture-filled LP. The title track factored significantly in my becoming a drummer. Hearing Clive Bunker’s fills in the chorus’s on the school bus radio galvanized my percussive resolve. I lost interest after Stormwatch/A, yet classic JT remains a favourite.

Well, the musical instrument talent came from The Wrecking Crew
