Picked this up yesterday from one of my favourite Vinyl record shops , was talking to the owner about RSD 20 & he mentioned some records he had just bought in & said have a look if you fancy anything let me know . So after a quick look through this caught my eye and the deal was done ,First edition & it looks like it’s never been played & sounds like it too plus it’s in mint condition.

‘The title track explores the story of "an old man at the end of his life who is waiting to die. He thinks back to a time in his childhood when he was incredibly close to his older sister. She was everything to him, and he was everything to her. Unfortunately, she died when they were both very young." The man becomes convinced that a raven, who visits the man's garden, is something of "a symbol or a manifestation of his sister.’

We’ll see soon if we continue to follow Ben Franklin’s admonition.

Or not.

Here's an old one called "All My Love" from 1966 by John Mayall & The Blues Breakers.

Members of the band at the time include John Mayall (keyboards), Eric Clapton (guitar), John McVie (bass) and Hughie Flint (drummer).

I really like the early "British Invasion" type blues/rock songs.

I am a big Reggae fan, but I have been less than impressed with most new Reggae. This is an exception to the trend towards auto-tuned garbage music. Unfortunately, I can't find more like this. A great song. Beautiful voices from beautiful young ladies, much respect!

Love it. You could edit that and loop it for hours, and just put that on in the background during the workday.

Yeah, and the British dude comes in at the end to get them to stop and says "They would do this forever if I didn't stop them." I think to myself "yeah, please let them go in forever!" I found some solo recordings from the same session, but they are not quite as good.

I came across Isakov when I was in college while meandering in the corners of YouTube one sleepless night. I can't explain what his music has meant to me over the past several years. It has been the backdrop to intimately introspective long drives, to heartbreaks, triumphs and failures. His lyrics are as haunting as his melodies. And the kicker is he produces all his own albums. Couldn't pick a favorite track to represent my suggestion that you all have a deeper look into his discography, but for your own sake please do. He will be a legend.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, once you really start listening to Steven Wilson's back catalog it's hard to listen to anything else.

@wagudc
Having a hunch you might like this rather eclectic track.

Cheers, my friend!

At first listen, I think like it. It will take a few more times through to see if it really sticks. Thanks for sharing.
