Seems to be worth a good chunk of a decent watch. I’m tempted to sell it but it’s such a brilliant album and a super-cool thing to own.

Turnt up to 11

The most amazing thing about The Doors to me is how great the keyboard player is (Ray Manzarek).
No one wrote his part in their songs. He kind of just added that layer to every song.

He reminds me of Billy Preston on the various Beatles songs he played in.
An amazing talent that can take any song and add a major element to it.

Imagine the song "Light My Fire" without any keyboards in it.

He was laying down the bass part via his organ/keyboard in the early recording period, too.

The Clash’s London Calling 1st pressing from 79 , talk about a classic album from one of the
Best groups ever in my opinion * ( Obviously other groups are available to choose from , but that’s OK with me as my opinion counts for not a lot ) .

And these aren’t too bad either , Creams best album Disraeli Gears 1st pressing in mono & superb SQ just as it was meant to be listened to .

For easy listening type of music, I really like some of songs done by Diana Krall.
Here is a video where she is performing a live version of "The Look of Love" in Brazil.
Her voice is full of expression, with a jazz & bossa nova kind of background to it.

I hadn’t played this one for a while , but today’s the day . David Bowie’s the rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars 1st UK pressing with lyric insert , you know when you’ve not listened to a album or record for a while and realise just how good it is again . Well this album is one of them for me .

David Bowie was one of the most creative people in modern music IMHO.

Here is an old TV clip from 1970 with him singing Space Oddity (Major Tom).
Video recording quality isn't the best, but even then, he was an amazing talent.
He was born on January 8, 1947, so he was 23 in 1970.
