my preferred option for a mid-day jolt...a Kazaar capsule from Nesspreso, the closest to Italian espresso and within a quick reach in my work space.

Kazaar is also my favorite, if I'm not near a real cup of espresso.

Well not drinking this for several months but primary fermentation is over, so now it will rest for a couple of months before being bottled.

Almost tried the "Sauza Tres Generaciones"...almost. But we kept the bottle close as it has never been opened before.
Instead, we had some shots of the Centenario.

I understand this might be a rookie choice but it has been sitting in my parents basement for the last 15 years since I bought it when I was 16 years old by a shady dude at work doing some "import". A shame to waste it, so opened it yesterday

Have some whisky with your ice!

There is no right or wrong way to drink whisky but most people (afficianados) just add a splash of water or drink neat. Ice tends to dull the flavors by dilution and affecting the phenols so they produce less flavor. You need to ice bad booze to make it drinkable.

Additionally the nose is a major part of good whisky using an open glass kills the nose.

That's a glencairn whisky glass. They are cheap on Amazon. Try your whisky neat in one of those, then add a few drops of water and try again. You will see an amazing difference.

Ice makes a non-chilled filter whisky turn cloudy......but the distilleries don't mind as long as you get drinking whisky

2008 Huet Clos du Bourg Premiere Trie.

Wonderful dessert wine all by itself. Not very sugary due to the acid and white pepper / ginger feel of the boytritis.
