I think this will require more testing.

How convenient! Your contribution to science will not be forgotten... 😉

Actually it does what it advertises which is to send the aroma out. I just got it yesterday, no complains so far. I got some glencairn glasses too and I think each has their merit. I have yet to ice the Norlan and try 😉

I'd been favouring Lagavulin 16 for the past 6 months or so, but just rediscovered this. So nice, but you better love peat....

Its great and with Laphroaig raising prices the Ardbeg 10 is at price parity, and a no brainer! Its a great dram! Check out Ardbeg Uigeadail, its a killer dram.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep an eye out for the Uigeadail. You're spot on with the Ardbeg 10. No reason not to have it on your shelf if you love peat. Not sure how I let it get away from me the past while, but I'm glad it's back.

A colleague kindly brought this from Scotland today; and of course it will be consumed in the evening (partially)

I'm a Lagavulin guy myself and haven't tried Ardbeg. How would you say they compare?

The Ardbeg 10 is basically liked sticking your head in a peat bog. But after you get past the peat, it's actually very refined and complex. I really like the Lagavulin 16 but it's a little less in your face. The Ardbeg 10 is like a shock to the your system, but in a good way if you love peat.

And if the Ardbeg 10 agrees with you, the Ardbeg Corryvreckan is The Nectar.

I do love peat. Just looked it up and it's a bit friendlier on the wallet than the lagavulin as well. I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks!
