Rum, at least that's what I had the other night. Wife brought this back from her last business trip to the Dominican.

She is returning from the US today with some Martell XO Cognac...she knows what to get me when she goes on a business trip!

Like the Diamond Mountain and Spring Mountain wines. My Smith-Madrone cabs from around the same vintage as your Lokoya are coming into their own right now. Lokoya another favorite, but don't have any cellared right now. May have to rectify that this week, although will then have to wait a decade at least to enjoy. Thanks for the reminder to start now!

If you're a Smith-Madrone fan, you'll enjoy the '01 Lokoyas. Lots of backbone still. Still got an '03 (which is the toned down version of the '01) left to see where that's at in it's evolution.

Yeah I know its early, but I just finished mowing the lawn and its already 85 degrees, the sun is blazing and its humid as hell out there, so I popped a New Castle Brown Ale at 0940hrs.

Call me uncivilized but its the only way to cool down after a hot task.

Opened a Jersey Blush rosé and can't believe how good it is for just over $10. It's like an off-year Spatlese with a hint of strawberry thrown in. Good thing we live so close to Heritage Winery because it isn't sold in many places outside of Southern NJ.

Received this auction lot of 4 bottles today. '57 D'Oliveiras Madeira, '77 Kopke VP, '88 Taylor Fladgate LBV, Taylor Fladgate 20 yr old tawny. The purchase was prompted by some of the excellent VP posts from @ulackfocus, aka "the enabler".
