Opened this tonight. Hadn’t had it in years as I’m much more partial to Hennessy; this was quite nice I must say.

Local South African blue gin. Add tonic and it turns pink-ish...

We have a gin that does the same when the ph level changes, but I actually prefer it for Martini's, rather than G&T's:

I haven't tried the Six Dogs gin in a martini yet -- but there's just enough left in the bottle to test it out. I will say that the blue color of the gin has steadily faded since I opened the bottle and exposed it to light. It was a much deeper blue when I bought it a few months ago and has faded significantly since it's been opened. Not sure if that's due to changing pH levels or some other chemical reaction to light by the unusual botanicals used to make the gin.

I've never been a drinker. I'm a lightweight. 1/2 a glass of beer and I'm wearing a lampshade on my head and dancing to the Partridge Family's greatest hits.
Now my wife is a different story. She doesn't always drink, but when she does it's not going to end well for her. She can really put them beers away with the best of them.

But once it hits her it hits hard. That's when I get a call from her friends to come scoop her up before she slips off her perch 😁

Picked these minis a couple of weeks ago as my travel companions 😀 and they all turned out to be a great complement to my seating arrangements on my outbound flight 😁

G&T

Drumshanbo Gin, Fevertree Mediterranean at 1 to 2 proportions. Over crushed ice with lime and basil flower.

@Archer Empress is awesome. My GF’s grand mother worked at that hotel. I use it as a show off Gin and Tonic. Bring the ice and tonic out in a glass with the gin in a clear shot glass. Slowly pour it in and it’s a great statement drink.

In fact the restaurant I have advised on thier cocktail menu had it served my way for the summer. Alas it was not really enjoyed due to lack of in person dining.

Your a better man then me. I can’t drink whisky near on a plane. The lower air pressure and lack of moisture in the air make it almost impossible to smell. Unmixed whisky just tastes bad on a plane to me. Hence I go with cocktails or beer.

So... your good lady wife is attractive, likes beer, likes vintage watches and approves/supports your hobby. If I were being unkind, I’d use a U.K. cricket term and suggest you could be batting above your average...But being kind, I’d say you’ve found Arcadia 😀
