The Easter sun is shining...but I still went with my last correctly chilled 'smoke beer'
Sausage and ham mixed with BBQ ashes.... a hard sell but it is a fine beer (not a session beer but an acquired taste and once you have it you want to repeat). You almost need a knife & fork for it (in a good way) ….:0)

On holiday in France for Easter...: just about to have another small drop of this..

What I can’t tell however is whether the bottle neck is straight or not - it is an old bottle... or is that the effect of large the glass I’ve alrady had?

I don’t give anything up for lent but a traditional Dunkel in the Sunshine seems very apt for Easter.
Rich, Munich malty and full bodied…. nearly time to start on the lighter lagers if the weather holds :0)

DON'T TELL MAD DOG!! I have eschewed my beloved Starbucks today for a... a... a... Dunken Donuts iced coffee. It was a desperate situation and will not be repeated, but Game of Thrones was starting and I only had time to make it to DD. It was that or nothing, so I did it.

Looks more like iced tea than iced coffee. But it's coffee, it's big, and it's iced. I will say that DD has much better donuts than Starbucks, so they have that going for them. And it's attached to a Baskin Robins. another plus. DD was deserted, only a single millennial haunting the place. And instead of typing furiously on an iPhone or iPad he was sitting alone at a table, twitching a little, and talking to himself.

I purchased because of the name alone, “Wee Heavy” Scottish Ale. Sweet, a bit peaty and earthy, not my fav as I prefer Hefe wheats. Good experience though.

Real whisky doesn't have an 'e'. 😀
My dad was the best drinker I ever knew, and he told me that Scotch was the cleanest booze next to vodka, and if you drank straight vodka everyone would think you were a drunk.
It's still morning here. This afternoon I'll be drinking Highland Park 12.

Considering whisky is only single distilled and filtered... it comes down to the quality of the distillation process and how much of the heads and tails they discard. But Scotch tends to have more of a center cut of the distillate.
