Quite alright, I think ...

 

I am sure a nice quaff but wheat beer turns my ears red for some reason so I have to pass......everything else just turns my nose red...eventually :0)

 

Last night's sushi dinner called for champagne, and sake of course:

 

For Sakes sake..... leave some champers for the rest of us :0) Tattinger 02...….MMMmmmmm

 

Hehe. The 06 drank much better than the 02!

Slouching Towards Nirvana

 

Scotch Whisky beer….. life is good and keeps on giving :0)
I Never tried a whisky beer before but a nice way to start a UK bank holiday weekend. Sweet, fruity toffee caramel / thin whisky notes with a bitter finish. Slightly unusual taste experience (not in a bad way) but I will stick to my usual pint selections and a maybe chaser in future - but good to try something new.

After 5 weeks not drinking any Aussie wines at all (hunting for Champagne and Italian wine at Prowein, in Champagne and Vinitaly) am enjoying a 34 year old Coonawarra Cabernet in magnificent condition- the Geoff Weaver... absolutely superb

 

I had two former colleagues here on Friday evening and after dinner at a local pub/restaurant (superb place owned by former Gurkhas and specialising in Nepalese food) we enjoyed a couple of different tequilas, both excellent:

 

Nice light white before lunch.
