If you're in the UK,and have a Co-op nearby, get yourself down there to pick up a bottle of this. Absolutely belting bottle.
Thanks for the tip and you’re right absolutely great value, have to get some more!

I also consider Monday a booze free day.

Monnight, however, is a different story.

Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary cellar find…..If you want to buy another stupid watch you will have to sell something she said (fair point)…..so raid the cellar I thought…..looks like I have not struck gold. Damn if only bottles and booze aged as well as Speedmasters, and like a speedy you could just drink them in with your eyes…. not down your neck like a fish…. back to the drawing board :0(… I need a beer.

I managed to track one down - thanks for the tip / I will try it at the weekend. I nearly missed it as it was boxed and I had a bottle search fixation.

I visited Westland distillery today and did my own hand filled cask strength bottling and completed the labeling. Aged in ex-Rye casks and finished in Oloroso.

Alt bier is particular to Dusseldorf and is pretty much my favourite beer in the world, elements of amber ale, red ale, black beer, pilsener, lager and ipa... it is top fermented, giving it fruitiness but fermented at coolish temps and is given extended lagering or conditioning prior to release... making it crisp... end of the day it is complex and difficult to define ... is it an ale, a lager or a pilsener ... yep it is all of those, is it creamy or textural or tart, yes to all 3... is it fruity or dry... yes... creamily malty or bitter ... again, yes on all counts

I fell across this one by accident a year or so back. Very clean and crisp with a fruity yet bitter intense finish. I paid more attention for once as it was in a blue funky bottle and it was my first of the day.... Something a bit different but seemed to be a local only brew / did not see it in many (any) other pubs.
