Chinese 5 grain white liquor, I eventually emptied the whole bottle myself.....

Reminds me of the Sake glasses I received in Japan compared to everyone else. Think they have a size of body to glass they give you. 馃槜
One restaurant the owner was impressed as I was the only one drinking Sake so I had a friend for the night and some great food ( glad he passed out when he did 馃槈 )

My second drink tonight is a Nobu Sidecar. Suntory Toki Whisky, Orange Liqueur & Yuzu. Kinda flat but I like the very clear ice sphere. I love clear ice in my cocktail. And yes, it does make a huge difference in presentation and taste in my opinion.

My third drink tonight is a Oni Negroni made with
Hendrick's Gin, Carpano Antica Formula, Aperol, Onigoroshi Sake and grapefruit peel. I like this one better than the Sidecar I had earlier. Very tasty. Very clear large ice cube I like.

Almost like a Cognac. Great stuff made on old British Navy stills in Guyana. This is the best Demerara Rum I鈥檝e ever had.

Spotted this in the bottle shop today, I'll try it later, just a bit of ice and let you know how it drinks

Well, it's very good. You can get the American oak and it has a very soft finish. I'll enjoy this bottle

Still no school for me or my wife or our son, thanks to the cold--so we are all home today playing--. Tried something new for lunch, and it's really nice--very typical Burgundy sensibility without the headiness (or expense!) of the usual Burgundy routine:

Those aged Caribbean rums are terrific!--Also hard to find--. I had some amazing stuff once when visiting Martinique--but they tend to keep the best stuff for themselves--and who can blame them?

Interesting finished in French oak barrels how big is the orange hit?

First time having anything like it. It鈥檚 like orange zest oil, you would pick it up on the nose easily. Balanced on the taste with traditional bourbon vanilla/carmel. It鈥檚 got some heat, only thing I don鈥檛 like. I鈥檒l add a few drops and/or let it sit. Finish looong.
