Nikka pours tonight, it’s been a while since I got these out. I would say possibly my most complex pours I have. Really rich and savory both. 21 has some slight peat there I swear, but it’s very light, delicious.

Enjoy! Love that one.

Keeping it Japanese, a colleague brought this sake back from Hokkaido. Looking forward to trying it once dry January ends.

Whoa, I got a JW Lees ale matured in Lagavulin whisky casks. This beer is a beautiful thing. I busted a Lag 16 out and it’s amazing the light smoke similarity the beer has to the Scotch both nose and tasting.

I tried this as a joke in Mont-Tremblant and found myself grabbing some at the duty-free on the way home. On the rocks it is tire sur la neige for grown-ups🥰

Are you flying out of country? One if the best things is finding nice scotch at the duty free sections in airports.

on our way to Germany...agree, I always stop to look (when not rushing to the boarding gate) for labels that sometimes are exclusively marketed for duty free shops...👍

Tonight, we’ve a few friends coming round for Dinner and I remembered I had two bottles of this under the stairs.
I hope that it’s still ok? I think it’ll benefit from a bit of wind.

Nice indeed, but I'd say it does have a very subtle and gentle hint of peat that's surprisingly pleasant even to those who dislike peat like myself 😉 ...

Agree it does, but just enough so I know it’s there. It’s a good pour, too rich for a daily for me but I’m glad I have it.

Lousy couple of pics taken at the neighbors.

I got busted “taking pics” of my watch again. Oh the ridicule.

Poor angles / quality of a cool gold Rolex.....but I’m posting it anyway. FUN night.

Tasty beer. 2016 Clown Shoes Luchador en Fuego.

A nice little Calvados... my guilty French pleasures. My favorite of all the French spirits.

Groult is my favorite producer too! The Doyen D'Age is sublime--and will put to rest any notion that Jersey-made Applejack is drinkable.

NB most of your bottles look pretty empty--time for a trip to Binnys.
