Moonshine, Alcohol,is not allowed, trust me to live in one of two dry countries in the world. However home made rum and grape juice with baking yeast is available, two more weeks until I can get a beer, my drink of choice. Would love one of those whiskeys right now.

Moonshine is illegal in Sweden 🙁
But this is actually to protect the people.. but taxes on alcohol are very high!

I hope all my American neighbours are enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Out on the trail today, enjoyed this mini 50ml bottle at break.

This thread has been quiet! Drinking this, courtesy of @Matty01
Good body, bit of tobacco. Worked very well with the spag bolognase.

We had their Shiraz last week, which was disappointing, but happy with this.

If you like Shiraz try and pick up a bottle of D'Arenberg The Dead Arm 2002 it's outstanding but hard to find, this 2009 isn't too bad either.

And -- a half hour later, a Hendricks gin martini!

(effectively countering the effects of the espresso, and then some!)

The Aussies might be interested in this
http://fourwindsvineyard.com.au/the-4-tonne-project/

Help us turn 4-tonnes of grapes into funds for Canberra’s Companion House.
Three Canberra District Wineries have joined together to donate Shiraz grapes, winemaking expertise and bottling equipment to make delicious wine and raise funds for Companion House.

Now we need your help; you can purchase the wine for $200 a dozen with $174 per case going to help those Canberrans who are survivors of torture and trauma. The additional $26 a case will be used to cover costs such as bottles, cartons, labels and postage.

Four Winds Vineyard, Collector Wines and Eden Road Wines will work together to make the Shiraz. You can purchase the wine now (4-tonnes of grapes will make around 200 cases – so get in quick) and the finished wine will take around eight months to complete. This allows the wine to be processed, fermented and then aged in oak before bottling. We will let you know when it is ready to pick up or we can pop it in the post to you.

With this team making the wine, you can be confident the wine will be amazing. (You can find out more about the three wineries at the bottom of the page)

Companion Houseworks with people who have sought refuge in Australia from persecution, torture and war related trauma – it is a great local charity and you can find more about them on their website www.companionhouse.org.au.

How the project came about
We had harvested all of the 2015 grapes for the Four Winds Vineyard label and fulfilled all our grape orders but there remained a parcel of Shiraz grapes in the vineyard. As it has been a great season we hated the thought of leaving these lovely grapes on the vine. Our winery was at capacity and we could not fit in another berry so had been tossing around ideas about what to do with these grapes.

The solution presented itself speaking to other people in the industry. We would provide the grapes, and two of our neighbours; Alex McKay from Collector Wines and Hamish Young and Nick Spencer at Eden Road would make and bottle the wine with the proceeds going to Companion Housein the ACT.
