Jean Paul Brun - Morgon Côte du Py Javernières 2015. From the outskirts of Charnay in the southern part of Beaujolais. Fantastic, dark red - almost purple - colour. Nose:Ripe boysenberries and black fruits and some floral hints. Palate: Concentrated, deep and full bodied yet fresh and juicy. Plums, black currant and something that reminds me of fruity black tea. Well balanced acidity. Long light tannic finish. 80p.
Foillard Morgon Côte du Py 2016
Hands down my favorite Beaujolais. Cherry red. Nose: Cherries, raspberries and lovely spices. Palate: Fresh, complex and very juicy. Beautiful fruit. Long and exciting finish. 95p
I’m at Narita, between Melbourne and London, so Bloody Mary, Champagne and a glass of white wine in the lounge. Whisky and Cognac on planes is never a good idea... Armagnac though, I’d make an exception!
And, not a plane in sight.

Next time you're passing through you should set up a stopover in Tokyo. I have not had the opportunity myself but Tokyo is meant to be a great place to find watches. Take a look at this thread for inspiration: https://omegaforums.net/threads/my-travels-to-japan-and-my-search-for-nina.54166/
And if your plane doesn't turn up, there you go! 😉
We won't be drinking any of this before Christmas but I did bottle it today. Hopefully the cloudy remnant will clear up enough to top up the third bottle later. We're going to try and keep one bottle aside for 5 years, well try is the word.... One bottle of sloe gin is still in the larder after four years so there's hope!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Portugal....hard not to like a country that appears to be one big vineyard north to south, east to west. Many different grape varieties and some really marvelous wines, not to mention ports, of course. We have been drinking Portuguese wines regularly since visiting. Your post has inspired my choice for this evening's wine selection. Cheers!
