So far I think Glenmorangie is my favorite distillery - the Nectar d'Or is a staple for me now. Even the standard 10yr is a lot smoother and tastier than just about anything in its price range ($28/750mL even here in post-capitalist wasteland Bay Area) save sake.
So I was picking up a gift at my local family owned liquor store... I’m slightly lucky to have this within walking distance. Right side American whisky (partial) left side non US whisky Left side is all Scotch right side is Rum and Rhum. Display case for scotch over $180 up to 1,500 + and a little Mezcal/Tequila over $180 to 2k+ at the end.
I did enjoy its 14 y/o brother... https://omegaforums.net/threads/wrud-drinking-today.23705/page-75#post-835191
Oh it's the diver - but it's the Deep Sea Chronograph Vintage. Bezel from the DSA, faux lume, running seconds and chrono engagement indicator delete... and the best part? Case reduced from 42mm to 40.5. Thing straight kicks ass
Huh... I was gonna link you to the Deep Sea Chronograph line on JLC's website but it seems it's been removed. Out of production I guess
Yeah I went looking for it too. I tried the deep sea on at a JLC boutique and fell in love. Pictures do not do that watch justice at all. In hand it’s an amazing piece. It made my POC feel like a Seiko.
Yeah, it's a really really strong watch. As soon as I saw it in reports from Basel 2012 I knew I had to have one, and eventually it came and found me. Don't regret it one small bit
Heitz-Lochardet Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Rugiens' 2015. Ruby red colour. Nose: Red berries mushrooms and earth. Fruity and juicy. Complex with a superb long light tannic finish. 90p
