Dolin (The extra dry is magnificent) Luxardo Cherries ...excellent choices! WR Bitters...Gotta check those out.
Its so dammed good that I just ordered another bottle. The kid just tasted, "Dad this is a flavor bomb! " and I suspect I'm gonna need it.
@Jking was the reason I tried it. His advise didn’t let me down. To me, it is as rich and smooth as some of my 20 yr old bottles. Perhaps my palette isn’t as sophisticated as others, but I’m very happy with it. I like it the Japanese way, using a few drops of mineral water in each poor. Sublime.
The Japanese are keeping it old school when it comes to traditional process. I think I need to delve further.
I’m kicking myself now for not buying two. I’m hoping to find another bottle to stash but I have a feeling it’s not going to be easy.
Has anyone tried the Glenlivet Code and logged in for the taste notes? I almost purchased just now as I’d like to do the online test. No info on the bottle and it’s matte black, you can’t even see the coloring. I’d probably score a zero anyway, so I picked up a new for me Dalmore instead.
Clearing out some back log. A Balvenie single barrel first fill... not much to say, and a single barrel Buffalo Trace that I had forgotten about. Oddly the Balvanie was first fill in Buffalo Trace barrels. Odd coincidence.
Friday enjoyment, after our little one went to bed. My Mrs does actually prefer beer, but personally, I much more prefer a good Champagne. Yes it’s absolutely debatable as to whether this is a fine one, however it’s sweet enough for my Mrs to enjoy it.
Btw... what do you compare the king Alexander to? I’ve found a bottle for $170 I’m thinking of picking up.
