Inspired by your garden ventures I headed for the fridge only to discover we are out of tonic! Plenty Bombay though!
Oh no!! I've always been of two minds with a good gin versus tonic wtih lime... a lot of time, the tonic and lime combination obliterates most of the gin flavor. That said? One of my favorite gins is New Amsterdam. Yum! Tom
I saw that dozen. If any one would like 3/4 of a dozen to half the asking price feel free to PM me! No Tonic, but saved by Mr Glen Livet. A 16 year old Scottish chap with good attitudes!
Spent a very short time working in Munich in the 90s. At 10:30 am coffee break, they offered me coffee or this. I'm a Brit, offer me alcohol and I have no way of refusing... Have always had Weissbier in the house since, it's food you know
I was somewhere near Newbury and looked up an address on Google Maps and it came up with local "points of interest to you" or other such nonsense. Anyway, there was the Bombay Sapphire head office.... Hmm, perhaps Google know me better than I thought...
Anyone compare a Dutch gin (New Amsterdamn) with a London Dry gin (Gordon's, Beefeater's)? I seem to prefer the flavor profile of the New Amsterdamn with tonic. Tom
There are worse beers than Schlitz, like Tuborg Gold and Genesee Cream Ale to name a couple. Some cheap beers that were decent back then were Ortlieb's and Ballantine.
So true and I'm suprised you left this one out Dennis... Schmidts of Philadelphia, my Dad used to drink this.
Schlitz was the first beer I ever had back in the 70's. I've heard that the Schlitz you buy now is actually the original recipe from when it was first brewed. Is this true?
Nice! My absolute favorite beer! Have you tried the Little Sumpin' Sumpin' variation? It's awesome too!
