Would You Consider Having This Dial Refinished?

I’ve had similar thoughts and posts myself.

At the end of the day, I ended up not redialing… and not convinced any shop can truly replicate the font, putting the markers back and placement well.

I actually live near a redial shop…. this thread makes me want to visit them to see how good redials really are with a loupe.

Please do share what you end up doing.

Just no.

I'd own it. I'd wear it as is and would be happy while doing it.

If that dial leaves you unsatisfied would looking at a dial you know is redone really satisfy you or would a niggling thought intrude reminding you that it is less than original?

Ok, you’ve all convinced me that original and with character is the way to go. I’m going to have my watchmaker service the movement and try to shine up the hands a bit, but that’s all. I wore the watch yesterday and found myself admiring its beauty, particularly given that it’s 71 years old. What a testament to Omega build quality. Thanks all for your opinions.
