·Hi all,
First post here, so I hope I get everything in here that's needed. I received this watch as a gift and have doubts as to its authenticity, but the nearest actual watchmaker is a bit of a hike to get to, so I wanted to see if anyone here had thoughts from these photos before I make the trek to get it opened.
I would open the case myself, but there's no lip in the caseback for a tool and I don't want to scratch it.
If folks here think it could be real, I'll make the drive to the watchmaker to open the case so I can get shots of the movement. Maybe the watchmaker will also have thoughts as to the authenticity.
At the very least, I have doubts about the dial due to the Omega and De Ville logos, but I don't know a ton about these really old ones. I'm guessing this one is from the 1960s?
Any help or insight you all can offer would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks-
