Explaining to the kids why it's dark earlier and they have to go to sleep on time now.

The dog complaining that he wants dinner at 4pm.
THIS. I have a yellow lab and he's a good guy but science and stuff are not his forte. We have to ease into the time changes with his eating schedule.

Oh, and my apologies to Miami tomorrow.
I lived there for 17 years, and the traffic is going to be insane. Always is on the first work day after the changeover in the fall.

Dogs always are a bit dense with science.....

Less daylight.
We're actually back to Standard Time and it's Daylight Saving Time (not savings). We don't lose daylight, just change the time of sunrise and sunset.

Resetting the clock on my dashboard.

It takes a dozen stops at a red lights to figure it out.

Remembering whether a different country that you need to make a phone call to changes before, at the same time, or after yours.

<Old git time> I remember "double summertime" as a kid -- enough light to go play outside until 11pm. But not allowed to 🙁

The easiest way I remember which is which (daylight saving vs standard time) is in Britain they call it British Summer Time. Close enough to our DST.

Yahoo Japan auctions will be ending very early for me now that we're back to standard time.

I truly feel like a curmudgeon talking about DST. It's one of the dumbest things ever implemented by any government. If you want to have summer hours, simply have summer hours, you cannot command the sun to rise or set any earlier than it does. Robbing an hour from the morning to give to the evening does not save time nor does it make for a longer day. I'm happy to be back on standard time and wish we didn't have to swap back in the spring.

Totally agree with the logic BUT I love daylight savings. It tells me that spring is here.

You can also tell that spring is here by looking at a calendar.

I have about 13 Atmos clocks to set.
That’s a pretty mad number of atmos clocks to have but I’d totally have that many if I had the funds, space and no kids to bang into them

I and most people I know would rather leave it at DST year round.
