I think it's fair to say that that Seamaster was not waterproof. In retrospect, I know where I should have put it... in the thread "Watches that have unrealistic price expectations".... the guy wants $50 for it! You're getting a lot of rust for fifty bucks...

Seller notes that "case, button and the back are not original." Dial looks fine though...

Sea300.jpg "YOU ARE LOOKING AT A RARE VERY COLLECTIBLE OMEGA SEAMASTER WRISTWATCH. I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN OMEGA SEAMASTER 300 LIKE THIS BEFORE, ALL THE OTHER ONES HAVE ALWAYS HAD A ROTATING BEZEL. THAT IS WHY THE AUCTION HAS SUCH A LOW STARTING PRICE.I AM NOT SURE WHETHER THE DIAL HAS BEEN REFINISHED.I SOLD THIS TO SOMEONE AND HE TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT AUTHENTIC."

Nice little black dial Seamaster. Crown appears to be a replacement.

Oooooo....my turn! Found on a local site, this guys wants only $450 CDN for this lovely cream coloured dial that's in "really great condition for its age"......

I hope I age better than this poor thing!

Really, if you're going to refinish the dial, sharpen your crayon!

Don't you hate it when you see a beautiful watch pop up on your ebay feed, and in your excitement you double click on the listing, and double click again on the picture to enlarge it without really studying it...your eyes are open wide in anticipation of a soothingly beautiful sight on the retina, but all you get are ICEPICKS IN THE EYEBALLS:

Seller Notes: ***The only issue is when Magnified, it appears someone has Painted the Hands Black, I assume this was done to see better as the Hands should be gold. Only Visible when Magnified***

From the item details: "This is not the watch to wear for a visit to the I.R.S ....... (Or to tell the ex-wife your broke)...."
