    Hello Omega fans!

I'd like to know if any of these Constellations on my radar are redials. Also, I wanted to know if all the 5XX series calibers have the same diameter, thus share the same dial size. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

I'm inclined to say that they're all re-dials. The first pie-pan has very soft edges. The second has a misspelled word, "OFFICIALY", and the third looks sloppy all around.

Also, the size of the movement does not determine the overall size of the dial.

The 5XX movements are 28mm wide, the watches that use them come in many sizes, unsurprisingly all greater in diameter than 28mm but not limited to particular sizes. The movement can be (much) smaller in dia than the dial. The 321 or 861 used in the 42mm wide Speedmaster is only 27mm wide...

I am looking for an original dial to replace mine, so I trying to understand what a redial looks like. I,ll post a picture of mine and a spare one I found online. Can you tell me if it's in original conditions?

Also, mine has this gold tone hands and indexes. Is this other one the same?

Sorry to bother, but expert's help is much needed :)

Just be careful they are both for 5XX movements as there were Connies using the bumper movements too. Note the first and second have different furniture and the second is a pie pan he first is not. The second looks pretty original to me. That level of heavy patina usually suggests originality. Here is one of mine with similar patina, it has the first style markers but is pie pan like the second:

I also think the dial you’ve found is original.
The arrow-head markers are slightly wider than the ones on your dial and don’t contain any lume.
Note the seconds hand is missing!

Be sure to check the furniture on the donor dial is the same colour and matches the medallion of your case back.
i.e. you don’t want to be mixing rose gold and yellow gold.
Also most importantly make sure it’s the correct dial for your case/movement as per @padders comments above.

There is wisdom here. When I bought the one above, I had no idea it was rose gold until Mr Freese cleaned it up!

You may want to post a photo of the inside of your case-back. It would be nice to find a dial that is not only legitimate and original, but correct for the reference.
