Why is no one buying this?

I was given a substantial amount of cash for Christmas and so I thought I'd splurge in a Constellation pie pan from Ebay. This particular one was within my budget; however, despite being watched by over 400 people, it's remained unsold for 6 months (and counting). I've gone over several "how to spot a fake Constellation" articles/forums and I can't find a single red flag (although I'm a complete newbie). Dial and crown look good, the medallion looks a little worn but original, mechanism looks original.

It's pretty cheap compared to the other listings so I'm wondering if everyone else is seeing what I'm not seeing.

Are you comparing the asking price to solid gold versions?

Heavily polished case, dirty dial, and massively overpriced for a poor condition gold-capped Constellation is the main reason, it's a bad deal.

€750 watch being offered at €1850 is the reason it is sitting in storage.

That's a good point, I didn't realize there was a solid gold version. I really do have a lot to learn.

Thank you! I totally missed the heavy polishing. I really do need to up my standards when it comes to the overall condition.

4x actual value. I don’t know why so many people are watching it. I understand that hope springs eternal but even if the seller suddenly cut the price, it’s still not attractive.

Probably waiting for it to sell, so they can offer one for a similar price.

yes there's lots of variations of the work "gold"; gold filled in 10-12-14K; gold plated at various depthes of plating and 10-12-14-18K gold; Note 18K also says 0.750 that means 75% gold ... just remember "all that glitters is not gold".

Plenty of reasons to not consider buying the watch, but I think that there is a parallax problem with the photo you showed, amplified by the angle, crystal, and pie-pan outer track. I believe that the lettering is distorted as a result, and is actually consistent in terms of size.

Dial looks fine to me, but definitely overpriced for the case condition. This should be a ref. 14381 in gold cap, which if you search online you’ll see the bezel should be much sharper in original condition. You can check eBay sold auctions for an idea of price.
