Lots of great shots! Some really beautiful scenery. I gave a lot of thought to choosing one picture that made as big an impression on me as any picture I have ever taken. Four trips to the British isles and to Europe between 2000 and 2012. And the one that conjures up the most dramatic image I had of Scotland before we got there is best depicted by this shot my wife took of Glencoe, Scotland in 2000.

Hard to choose! This is one I took of Sorrento, Italy, in 2012. One of 700 photos I took on that trip.

Most beautifull place on earth...wherever @meganfox17 may be at a given time... I am sure she'll post some pics in a few minutes

I was just about to sleep Sergio of NYC[emoji4] . That's ok Sir. I'll post something then. So many Beautiful Stunning Heaven On Earth places posted by readers on this thread that I'm just speechless , loss for words really....
although I really appreciated what @dsio posted with regards to the Civic mindedness people of Singapore. You could even be slapped with a heavy fine for chewing bubble gum on the streets & on the LRTs !!!

My two most unforgettable places were
● Jammu & Kashmir, India ea0f47934e1181657dc62b5c89ea7329.jpg This is Dal Lake & the boat houses on the far side .The lake would be frozen solid in Dec/ Jan , tourists can actually trek across or go skating & at the same time peer through the layer of thick ice to admire schools of fresh water fishes swimming underneath. It was insane & so surreal all at once. ccb5a129bffffc862a05b98494e035c0.jpg

●Tongariro National Park ,New Zealand
I had to visit this place as it was on my bucket list. It was the location for the filming of Mordor , home to the Dark Lord Sauron of Lord of The Rings movie trilogy. That's the Emerald Lake ba0330b7351f2d1d4b241fc347fc414e.jpg I dont have the photos now but I went trekking with friends on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

I'm not as worldly as many of you, but here are a few of mine.
St. Lucia is beautiful all the time. Hard to take a bad picture.
Crater Lake in Oregon is . . . impressive I guess is the word.

Selections
Firenze

Ponte Vecchico

Portofino
Ahh yes, Florence and what a wonderful view of Duomo. Great little town, nestled in Tuscany, offers a big city feel without the hustle and bustle.

Zugspitze was pretty special.

I managed to tag a couple of days onto a Munich business trip in 2013, and despite advice to head over the border, I spent two days playing on the glacier runs.

This was a photo from day 2 - it was a Monday, the only people I saw on the mountain were lift engineers...

A change of pace - beautiful wildlife - Lion Sands / Sabi River / Kruger SA. I felt some sort of spiritual connection here...Garden of Eden, before man screwed up nature.

Anywhere in the Stockholm, Åland or Swedish west coast archipelagos (preferably in a vintage boat with my wife) - or anywhere in rural Sweden - if talking about my preferences close by.

You sold the boat. I have still not recovered.

#1....Lake Bled Slovenia

One of my favorite musical groups is from Slovenia and all the pictures they post (and their videos) are just beautiful. If I ever get to Europe, I'll be sure to go there too.

For me, it seems, the most beautiful places are the ones I come across after extreme physical effort...example: Colorado inspires this in me...

After a full day of skiing, this spot on the mountain above Steamboat Springs was quite heavenly....

Then, in summertime, I bicycled up to this view of Independence Pass, near Aspen:
