What’s happening on March 26th then?

This was mentioned before, but from the GQ teaser article:

“Perhaps the most intriguing thing about this partnership for you to know is that it’s highly unlikely to leave you either unimpressed or empty-handed.”

So they probably won’t be limited or very expensive.

You’re right, and think it’s settled

Omega has lent to Swatch only it’s case and dial design, and branding (“Omega,” “Speedmaster,” and “Moon(S)watch”) for a set of watches that are otherwise composed of Swatch’s bioceramic and its 4 jewel quartz chronograph movement, with the little planets on back being the battery covers. Here’s one of Swatch’s current ($175) quartz Chronos:

Yep, seems most likely to me. Another group I chat with was hopeful that it'd use the 'Right Track' movement (7750 variant from late 2000s) but the batteries give it away pretty solidly.

Unless they've figured out how to create a 4 jewel automatic chrono movement lol

Hmm. Speedmaster MoonSwatch.
Have a feeling the initial responses would be quite polarized.

So, I’m one clear photo of the caseback there’s some additional copy noticeable:

there’s seemingly:

“Swat[ch]
“Swiss [Made]
“Water-R[esistant]
“Design P[atent Pending] [?]
“Four 4 [?]

Any ideas what the “Four 4…” could be describing?

I'm thinking probably not "4 AAA batteries, not included."

Maybe 4 Atmos? Unlikely.

Jewel count?

I could believe $200 a watch but you have to buy all 11. It’s both reasonably priced but is also exclusive.

Its a Swatch.... there is no way it is going to be in case-quantity (11) only IMO. Some collector sets and the rest readily available. MAYBE one watch as part of the set-only but my money is on most being available as singles. But we shall see in just a couple of days.

As stated before its most likely 4 Jewels. Swatch's three subdial chrono.

Still hoping there's a mechanical Bioceramic Moonwatch, among the quartz MoonSwatches.

I was half hopeful that the “set” would include, e.g., a single bioceramic MoonSwatch with an Omega movement therein. That would seem to sort of better substantiate and round-out the “collaboration.”

But we’re that the case, it would certainly have to be the “moon” iteration that would be more Omega than Swatch.

But leaked photos of the caseback of the “moon” iteration also show a battery port

So, while I’m betting these are all and only Swatches that happen to look like a Speedy, I suppose it’s still theoretically possible there’s a Omega-centric variant in the set … but not looking likely

I'm suspecting whatever it ends up being will bare the omega price tag over swatch. and demand will exceed supply like anything else that's worth getting! lets hope I'm wrong

I noticed what I thought were goldish colored watches on white straps during the recent Soyuz MS-21 launch last week wondering where the traditional Speedmasters were.

Is it possible these new Omega/Swatch watches are currently flying on the ISS and will be revealed by the crew on the 26th?

Edit - Typically by this point in the ISS missions images and video of the crew suiting up and strapping on watches have appeared online. As of today, no additional images or video has been released. Have images or video been embargoed until the official release on the 26th?

That sentence totally reminded me of this.

Some captured stills from the video. This is an actual Omega Branded Speedy, not sure if it's an older model or one that is going to be released as a part of this collab. Also, DON bezel...

Just noticing this tease on Fratello IG

which suggests a singles box (and “choose your own mission” caption furthers the singles optionality)!

Looks like the mechanism that makes the blue snoopy animated motion powering or spinning the celestial body of choice (earth, moon, mars). 3861 movement perhaps?

If the set of 11 is priced at $2,200 as someone mentioned earlier, then ~$200 per watch makes sense, especially considering other Swatch chronos are in the $170 range and it's pretty clear that these will house the 4-jewel Swatch quartz movements. At this point my biggest question is what's the size? Swatch offers 47mm NASA branded bioceramic chronos in their "Space Collection" so I hope they don't go down that route and instead offer something a bit more wearable (<42mm)...

If they're not too big I might get one as a playful "beater" watch for sport, especially if they're only a couple or few hundred.

Given these are copies of the speedy cases, I can only imagine they are also copying the size as well
