Omega Insta reel has this announcement, a possible introduction of a smart watch?
Omega x Swatch collab
apply a sample of (paint, makeup, etc.) to a surface or one's skin to test or demonstrate the colour.
"I got the polishes yesterday, and I've swatched them all"
There is also an ad opposite way on Swatch profile:
a quartz swatch watch that looks like a speedy and an omega watch that looks like a swatch
Daylight saving time date
Colleague of mine says, that this is also the date when at least in Europe we change all watches, precisely - the time on them, 1 hour ahead
DLST is actually on March 27th EST.
Technically you got the point...
Revival of the Geneve Dynamic?
Before I saw this, I thought maybe Swatch Group might be changing its name to the Omega Group.
Another triumph of marketing over substance, most likely.
Watches & Wonders opens on March 30th, maybe some sort of pre-show reveal?
Either way, I can't imagine any tie-up between Omega and Swatch models would be something I'd be interested in, in the least...
Swatch Group does not take part in W&W, so could be a parallel show-up, definietly they will not reveal anything at W&W, but maybe during.
This was also my first thought. That or an Omega smart watch.
Not sure what to think if both brands have the same teaser. What would an Omega x Swatch collab look like... and why...?
“Here’s a super cool smart watch that sucks.”
My post was before I sauw Swatch has the same ad running mentioning Omega so likely a collab instead of a smart watch.
I don't think it would hurt Omega's reputation, it might just end up being a flop.
Hublot and LV also make smart watches, so three LVMH companies doing that. I also dont think Hublot's reputation got tarnished by the smart watch... Tag has its own reasons for failure.
Makes sense that Swatch group wouldnt want to ignore that market.
Some sort of digi-analog mesh up? Omega makes the motion works and Swatch group makes the digital components?
Not really digging the branding. But I'm not 20, er...30, er... 40, er...50, (that's far enough) so not the right demographic.
Wonder if it'll have the Omega logo in the middle of the crystal? (Just saying that is making my skin crawl...)
Separate names with a comma.
