Speedmaster MoonSwatch. I can also see Omega logo on dial and Swatch logo on strap, but don't know if it's same or two different watches. Anyway some captures from this short YT video.

Also on the caseback I can see "four (4) jewels" so definietly quartz.

Given these are copies of the speedy cases, I can only imagine they are also copying the size as well

Hopeful then! The Speedmaster is a beautiful base design.

I really hate the bottom subdial on that watch... The planet with rings just looks cheap/tacky on the dial.

The whole point of a Swatch watch is knowingly cheap and tacky though?

tacky is subjective, cheap is if you feel the asking price is not in alignment with the value.

Let me call it first.

I noticed the what I thought were goldish colored watches on white straps during the recent Soyuz MS-16 launch last week wondering where the traditional Speedmasters were.

Is it possible these new Omega/Swatch watches are currently flying on the ISS and will be revealed by the crew on the 26th?

Edit - Typically by this point in the ISS missions images and video of the crew suiting up and strapping on watches have appeared online. As of today, no additional images or video has been released. Have images or video been embargoed until the official release on the 26th?

I’ll add that Saturday (26th) is typically a down day on the ISS allowing for time for a reveal.

Also, the all Russian crew alleviates a conflict of interest with a NASA astronaut appearing to be participating in an advertising campaign. The Russians are a bit more accommodating and always looking for ways to monetize their program.

I think they prefer the terms "budget friendly" and "eye catching" 😉

Seems slightly odd/ill-timed to have Russians promoting anything right now.

Yep, you can see "Speedmaster MoonSwatch" on the dial in one of those flashes, with the seconds and minutes subdials visible. Interestingly, the hours subdial is obscured - suggesting it could either be the 12 hour of the 3861, or (more likely) the 10 hour of the quartz movement.

Those "planet" discs on the images of the casebacks - notice there's a tab for removal? They look like batteries...

Definitely not a 3861 - the minute counter sub-dial is where the hour counter would be on a 321/861/1861/3861...

€250
Than €2500 on fleebay after the 27th.
My guess is that the big box will contain one real Speedmaster and the rest will be Moonwatch wannabe Swatches. And the Swatches will also be available separately.

Any collaboration with a reveal by cosmonauts would have been planned long before the current situation. Many are inclined to believe that cooperation on the ISS is above the fray of current world events.

If nothing else, I’ll stand by my prediction they are wearing the new collaborative watch.

And has a few more jewels than 4

They tell you right on the case back who the movement maker is...people probably don't recognize the logo as easily as a watchmaker would I guess...I see it on tech guides all the time...

The ETA symbol definitely a giveaway that it’s not a 3861 etc. - thanks for the clarification.

I didn’t know whether “Swatch’s” 4-jewel quartz chrono was an ETA movement but ok second glance:

The suggestion of a possible 3861 movement was almost in the same league as the smartwatch thread😗, still miles away though.😁
