I just have to admit Omega is not my favorite brand anymore. I respect the movements but I think the modern designs get a little too lost. The Deville line I love on the wrist, and I love the AT. But most lines bore me a little and the designs seem to be computer generated by a Swatch geek. When compared with the speedy design the Rail master and even the original PO and Seamaster lines the modern ceramic watches and the endless sides of the moon and the planet this and that seem like gimmicky toys.

In the mid level market Tudor is making strong entries, rolex remains quite pure. IWC I always like.

On the high market the sky is the limit...but Omega doesn't really belong there and it's not a fair comparison.

Blancpain for me. Rich history, a lot of firsts, involvement in Motorsports. Divers,Military, incredibly complicated dresswatches. Sadly way out of reach for now.

Speaking for myself that is a tough question. So many great makers and types of watches it would be hard to choose one brand of watch. I like the older Omega's that have in house movements. I am always looking to find another great watch that floats my boat.

I think it was Rolex (I own two, Sub included and two Omegas), then after waiting and waiting for Omega to reduce the unacceptable PO thickness. I decided on the BB Red from Tudor.

So now I have a strange, almost sad feeling, after seeing the paraphernalia on the new PO Omega designs, it is Tudor becoming my new preferred brand?...

I have preferred Omega over Rolex due to their design, less boring, more risky, etc.…but now, they are definitively ´overdesigned´.

Hamilton, not the new ones. Here is my 992 and my 987. The 992 I wear quite a bit and just finished servicing it and timing it, over a week it was +27 sec from Naval Observatory Time. After eighty year it's still keeping railroad time.

I think I'd go for JLC then. It has history style and robustness that a true watch should have.

As I like vintage watches Seiko because has some nice watches that are very affordable and Tissot, because sometimes they used almost the same movements that omega used but you will get them for 50%.... Example: This Tissot T12 uses a Lemania 873 movement, the 873 is, mechanically, the same movement as Omega’s 861 caliber.... I just have 3
