Hi all, I've been recently getting into vintage chronographs and am quite intrigued by all the different styles that exist. We all know of the speedmaster and how much love they get around here. I am wondering besides the speedies what are your favorite chronograph designs? I think my vote would go for the Eberhard Contograf. It checks all the boxes for me in terms of size, bezel, subdials, roulette date wheel at 6, great band, attractive pushers, etc. I also am quite fond of this design of this Clinton chronograph I picked up recently. Great bezel, pushers, cool hands, very well crafted and great wrist presence. Would love to see some photos of your favorite chronograph designs and why you like them!
As far as readability is concerned, I would vote Lemania 5100 : The central minute chrono hand is always a winner. Not really a dressy watch though (more like a bunker).
Not my watches. I'll go against the trend and post some white dials. I think I realized I like looking at chronographs more than owning them. https://bulangandsons.com/portfolio_page/vintage-heuer-carrera-3647-creme/ http://shop.analogshift.com/collections/watches/products/universal-geneve-tri-compax-881101-01 http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=3930832&rid=0
I must admit I'm very fond of the 3,6,9-subdial layout (Speedies). This is my only 2-register and....I like it but more so because of the Lollipop!
Hard to pick just one watch, but I am a fan of two-register military chronographs. Civilian too, but that's for another day. Not sure how that Omega TA slipped in there.
That's not a chronograph. Personally, I love watches that are unique and have plenty of personality. It's always nice to have a bit of color...
Typical n00b mistake - interchanging "chronometer" and "chronograph". https://omegaforums.net/threads/you-might-be-a-noob-if.46033/page-5#post-547149
