It was close to a tie. I learned that, in these times of waiting for a job to appear while sheltering in place that the caliber 552 winds somewhat more efficiently than the 1120 and therefore keeps time better. In addition, the bezel is easier to turn. Otherwise, the dials are nearly identical.

She saved up six thousand dollars without my knowledge and put this on my desk. That woman is my God. My collection grew substantially larger, but the first girl is the one to keep.

路For the big exit watch, a Citizen at4004 or really any solar powered, atomic timekeeping, perpetual calendar. Set it once and basically forget it. If it is a bug out situation, same watch but in black, if possible. My present Citizen at4004-52e has been in operation since 2013 with no service, but does have some desk diving scratches. Put it on and go...
