Your Personal Omega - If You Could Choose One

Hi all!

If you could receive any Omega as a Celebrity, Brand Ambassador or VIP - which one would you choose?

Imagine Omega offered you the same opportunity they might give to a celebrity, brand ambassador or very special VIP customer:

You could choose one Omega watch from the current collection, have it personally engraved, and Omega would simply give it to you. It would be yours to keep forever. No price limit, no resale considerations - just one watch that you would genuinely want to wear for the rest of your life.

And just to be clear: this isn’t about having to wear only this one watch forever. You can keep your entire collection and continue buying and wearing whatever you like. This would simply be one additional watch - but one that, because of the story behind it, would probably become your Omega.

What I find particularly interesting is that this might actually take you outside your usual collecting habits.

If you’re primarily a (vintage) Speedmaster collector, for example, you might suddenly find yourself thinking about a completely different kind of watch. Maybe something modern, versatile and robust that you could wear every day - rather than the rarest or most special and unique-looking piece you would normally add to your collection.

And perhaps it isn’t even about choosing the watch you find the most beautiful right now. If this is your Omega, the one you received directly from the brand and intend to keep for life, you might start thinking differently:

Which watch could you still see yourself wearing 20, 30 or 40 years from now?
Which one would work with almost anything, survive everyday life and never really go out of style?
And which one could you eventually pass on to your children and tell them, “This was my watch. Omega gave it to me, I chose it, and I wore it for decades.”

The rest of your collection can change. Watches can be bought, sold, traded, replaced or eventually sold by your children. That’s simply how collections evolve. But this one would be different. You wouldn’t really see it as just another watch in the collection anymore. It would be the one watch that stays.

Which one would it be, and why?

And, just for fun, what would you have engraved on the caseback?

From the current collection? Either the watch I already have, the Speedmaster Pro, or the Ed White 321.

I would say a gold Speedmaster Chrono Chime. I would engrave the caseback: “Your Name Here" and then I would sell it for a tidy profit.
