Dark Side of the Moon,

First Speedmaster with considerable news in quite some time (full ZrO2 case, including pushers/crown). Big at 44.25mm but looking smaller due to the colors. Nice polished+brushed effects on the case, looking like the classic Speedys, case that is not as thick as it looks, since a lot of that is due to the front & back sapphire crystals (the rear one has this nice effect when light hits it from the sides), textile+leather strap that looks cheap in photos but is actually very well built/comfy, deployment clasp in titanium and ceramic, a dial that is not too boring nor too busy, looks sophisticated enough to be tolerable at formal events, but relaxed enough to be used with a tshirt. Good presence on the wrist but still feeling lighter than most stainless steel watches, more likely to last many years without scratches/dents.

I don't have it yet, but ordered one after a lot of time looking at multiple Omegas and trying out the DSOTM in a shop. Too bad there are too many versions and it is not a LE. Loses some of the charm...

At the moment it's the speedmaster moonwatch professional. There's just something about it...

Agree 100%. I think that's the watch that first draws people to Omega. They see how amazing it is and branch out into other pieces, but it all starts with the Speedmaster Professional for many.

Although I have several Speedmasters, my go to watch is my PO chrono. On a bracelet or a rubber strap.

Having problems posting photos, here is my PO on a rubber strap. Also a couple of X-33 Speedmasters.

Favorite Omega... Speedmaster Professional. The history and connection to that history through essentially the same watch, albeit with some internal updates, that those who made it legendary wore.

Favorite modern Omega... Globemaster. A technically advanced and modern movement in a stunning design manages to effectively walk the fine line between modern watchmaking excellence and tie ins to historically significant elements (pie pan, name, graphics)

Torn between my two amigos...
The vintage seamaster 300 because, in my very humble opinion, it's quite possibly the best watch ever made by anyone, anywhere. Kinda like the bmw e30 series over in the motor vehicles.
The seamaster pilot because I've seen so few of those and the combination of the flightmaster case and the gorgeous oversized almost 39mm dial just makes it stand out.
Did I mention both the 552 in the 300 and the 1002 in the pilot perform fantastically well?

I have seen so many wonderful Omegas - and there are many I haven't yet seen -that there is really no answer to your question. BUT, for now, I'll go with this one: '53 Omega military watch - clean, legible, pretty much perfect IMO.

Hi @ConElPueblo

I'm Sorry .. since your post came after mine i thought you were referring to my Chinese colleague the so called field agent in BW
[emoji52] He's a Rolex Guy so he has photos of the OPC Daytona, Lady DJ & new Explorer. Unnecessary to paste them here. I dont even want to tell you what he said bout the Daytona

For me it has to be the basic Speedmaster and standard Seamaster diver to me those will always remain classics. I'm not really a big fan of all of the variations of Speedmasters (e.g. dark side of the moon, grey side, etc) or anything else in their current lineup as there seem to be many other watches I'd rather own at the price point. The Railmaster was a great watch and now the new Aqua Terra's are just meh...No offense to Dark Side or Aqua Terra fans, just my opinion.
