theres on on ebay with hands set - for @£245 (190867275129) so if you have the movement already you can have a seamaster 300 clone for under £1500
Go for it I say as you can sell it today for £2000 easily... or enjoy it like the rest of us do... 😉
Thank you!

Case, Complete Stainless Steel, Omega 055ST1660177
£665.00

The problem is to get the dial.

Do you really think this is a fair price for a case like this?

Fair price? When it comes to prices for watch parts, I guess nothing is fair.

Business as usual for them it seems...

"Condition of Bracelet: MINT New Old Stock" yet production date on the package (that they normally remove as they have done with the other parts) is from the 20th week of 2015...nothing old about any of it.

I bought a case from Watchco in 2003 and paid $350 US. Bought a case from my supplier in 2009 and paid $750 Canadian.

Also bought a couple of dials and hand sets to sell to offset the cost, but never put the watch together

Sold it 2 years ago for $1500US (dial, hands, case and movement)

Tried to buy no-date dials last year, waited 7 months and nothing so I canceled the order. Price for a new case at that time was $1400 + 13% tax

Won't be buying anymore at those prices

Side note - in 2003, complete original watches were selling for about $350 off Ebay in average condition. 2-3 years ago. Watchco listed similar condition models that were selling for about $1200

Well, technically speaking, then the bracelet is approximately 34 weeks old! 😁

Got a message from MA today. They are on track to getting things back up after their move to NZ.

BTW Erich, don't forget I'm looking after some little items for you, they're still safe in my safe 😀.

I've seen other sellers selling new wooden Omega Boxes but marking them as 'vintage' then saying in the description its to meet ebay's rules... or something like that

Must be the Asian made versions for that money, because I don't know of anyone who is selling even the case for $1300, let alone the dial, hands, and bracelet. Having said that the prices they are asking are pretty high...

I've not seen anything that cheap either. I think Cousins would be a bit less for that package but still $2700. I know Watchco sell outside of eBay at a 15-20%(?) discount but importing to Europe adds that 20% back in taxes. Note that there's no movement, case clamps, screws in that kit.

Watchco certainly helped me with a project but you have to wonder what's happening to them when they are selling a $5000 fully built SM with this line "Please note. The movement has had a basic service and is running well. The buyer should factor in a service at some stage in the near future." Ah, the old basic service...

Anyway, isn't this getting a bit like the Status Quo Farewell tour(s)? I'm sure I've read a few times that they were selling the last ones they'd ever get....

Cheers, Chris
