I doubt it. It’s in pretty high demand as it is. After owning it for almost 7 months, you forget its there. Can’t tell the difference between it and my other SMP’s. The thickness is a tad more noticeable, but it’s only .5 mm wider than the older ones.

It seems some who don't like the new Seamaster were so used to the look of the older model and felt like they just lost a good friend when it changed. I get it.

I always thought the 2500 Seamaster was a nice watch but it never grabbed me like the Rolex Submariner date which has more bling and a more accurate movement. So when they added more bling to the Seamaster, improved the moment with the master chronometer and now you can see the movement from the back, I was sold on it. I don't have that thought in the back of my mind, darn I wish I bought the Rolex instead. I find the new Seamaster to be on par with the Rolex. Thought I don't need the escape value, the new shape looks more modern and better to me.

I really like my Seamaster 300m 2015 - i can really appreciate a watch for its basics, its steel on steel, tells time, date and looks good for every occasion, it was very well priced, the model didn't try to match Rolex, it had its own design cues and for all that hats off to Omega.

I guess its time for Omega to modernise and rump up competition
