First time posting! This baby was put up for sale a few days ago. And would love some advice from all of you.

I think this watch Looks really nice. But this dial variation is either very rare, or it isn't what it is supposed to be. The movement is a manual wound Cal. 601. And it has been recently serviced. What do you guys think? Is this legit?

(Edit: added movement caliber for reference)

The configuration is correct. These dials were found with the cal 601 and a 135.011 case which this is.

The dial appears correct but the picture is poor and the Seamaster script looks slightly too heavy. Probably ok but better pictures needed to be sure.

Agree with previous post..
The dial looks aged, much better pictures needed to estimate the value. It's not bad buy any means but hard to tell exactly. What is the asking price?

These are good looking watches, albeit slightly small. I think the white model looks great but suffers more when there’s patination. I’m not sure whether there were different versions but I thought there should be two sets of lines for each marker rather than one. Also as mentioned earlier the Seamaster font is thick and also the logo is a different shape. Also note the dial seems damaged around the centre hole.

My black technical dial says hello 👍

I don't think that €675 is far off the mark price-wise.

I don't think that they are worth anywhere near that much, but the market speaks for itself 😀

I agree that 675 euro is not far off. I would personally, however, wait and maybe pay a bit more for a dial in better conditon.

Are we sure this is OK ? I’m thinking it’s been redialled. For example compare the first “e” of Seamaster.

The dial looks ok to me. I understand what you're saying about some of the font, especially the second E in 'Seamaster', however there are several other examples with the same font on Google and everything else checks out. I think it's ok.

This version with only one set of minute/second markers is also a legitimate variant, as is the version with two sets of hash marks at seen above.

This example however is suffering from patina/spotting and some damage around the centre.

It's easy for me to say wait for a better example as these aren't overly common, but they do pop
Up several times a year so personally I'd still wait for a better one.

The dial looks correct but it's a bit tired looking. Not only the bubbles, the edge all around is missing paint as well.
All in all, ok example and not to bad priced so If you like it, go for it. Or, be a bit more patient and wait for better one 😀

Thanks for all the response!

I will try and get this one. I'm glad to hear that it's probably genuin. As for the damage, I actually like the worn look of the watch. It will be my first vintage piece, and I feel the dinks gives it a distinct charm. And the movement was recently serviced, so it should be good in that department.

I fear this will be the first of many, so its nice to hear that more prestine version do also pop up!

Can someone post a picture of the same dial from elsewhere. I’ve tried googling but can’t find the same. All the no dates seem to have double lines, and sometimes date models have single lines but this isn’t a date model.

A black dial version with no date and single lines that I used to own.

Thanks @Davidt. It seems the two black dial types (mine and your old one) have the same “Seamaster” script, whilst the white one with your style dial has a different script. I still think it’s a bit odd looking, along with the G in Omega, but if there are others out there then maybe it’s correct.

675 Euros?! Really? When do these Seamaster 600s started to gain in value? This one looks ok, but I think you can always find a better example for less.

Yesterday a black dialed version in open auction ended at €670. They have definitely gotten expensive - I personally don't get it.

The versions with ordinary dials should be around half the price. Still expensive for a rather uninteresting reference, IMO.
